NTPC Limited has approved a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) for joint techno-commercial due diligence of overseas uranium assets.
Additionally, NTPC plans to set up nuclear power plants independently and through joint ventures, including the 2,800 MW Mahi Banswara nuclear power project in Rajasthan under Anushakti Vidhyut Nigam Limited, a joint venture with Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited. NTPC is also collaborating with Clean Core Thorium Energy to explore advanced nuclear fuel technologies.
