National Capital Region Transport Corporation has completed the trial runs under the Meerut Metro Rail Project.
The Meerut Metro spans 23 km including 18 km of elevated and 5 km underground stretch. It has 13 stations (Meerut south, Partapur, Rithani, Shatabdi Nagar, Brahmpuri, Meerut Central, Bhainsali, Begumpul, MES Colony, Daurli, Meerut North, Modipuram and Modipuram Depot). Of them, nine stations are elevated, three are underground and one is at grade station.
