Trial runs were conducted on a 3.6 km Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) Depot – Bhootnath stretch under the Patna Metro Rail Phase I Project on September 7, 2025.
During the trials, the speed of the train, the signalling system, and safety of the track were being inspected as well.
Phase I of the project involves the development of a 32.5 km long metro rail network in Patna, Bihar at an estimated cost of Rs 139.25 billion. It involves the development of two corridors, viz. Corridor 1 (Danapur Cantt-Mithapur) and Corridor 2 (Patna Junction-Patna ISBT).
