The Ministry of Railways (MoR) has issued a notification for land acquisition of an additional 6,007 sqm of land in connection with the Hospet-Hubli-Londa-Tinaighat-Vasco da Gama Railway Line Doubling Project in Goa, Karnataka.
The project involves doubling the 352.28 km long existing rail line between Hospet and Vasco da Gama in Karnataka and Goa, respectively with an investment of Rs 42.54 billion. It is being executed in two phases, namely, Phase I: Hospet-Tinaighat section (245 km) and Phase II: Tinaighat-Vasco da Gama section (107.28 km).
