PSA Mumbai [Bharat Mumbai Container Terminal (BMCT)] recorded the highest monthly volume across India by handling 243,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in August 2025. With this, the terminal has secured a 35 per cent market share at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA).
With a total handling capacity of 4.8 million TEUs, PSA Mumbai (BMCT) has become India’s largest container terminal. This development expands the total capacity of JNPA to 10 million TEUs, reinforcing its status as India’s largest container port.
