A specialised artificial intelligence (AI) unit has been established by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) with the goal of enhancing efficiency, accelerating decision-making, and stimulating innovation in the construction of highways.
In order to minimise the carbon impact of projects, the new organisation will also concentrate on improving quality control and identifying environmentally friendly building materials. The action is a component of NHAI’s broader initiative to incorporate technology into infrastructure development in order to satisfy the increasing expectations for national highway projects to be completed quicker and more sustainably.
By utilising AI, road construction will become more efficient and ecologically conscious as it will reduce delays, streamline procedures, and use greener options.
