The South East Central Railway (SECR) has installed Kavach on its first locomotive, a WAP-7 (locomotive number 37704), at the Electric Loco Shed in Bhilai. The installation of Kavach has already commenced on the Nagpur-Jharsuguda railway section, and the fitted locomotive is part of this project.
Besides, SECR plans to install Kavach on a total of 551 locomotives under its jurisdiction, with the implementation expected to take place in a phased manner.
