Railway Board approves Kashmir’s first Joint Parcel Product-Rapid Cargo Service train on Budgam-Adarsh Nagar route

The Railway Board (RB) has approved the first Joint Parcel Product-Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS) train from Budgam in Kashmir to Adarsh Nagar in Delhi, which is expected to cover the distance in approximately 23 hours.

The train has been launched on a pilot basis and will be operated daily for a year, post its commencement, under the Jammu railway division of the Northern Railway zone. It will consist of eight parcel vans and one seating-cum-luggage rake. Additionally, loading and unloading facility for goods will be provided at the Bari Brahmana (BBMN) station.
