Priority corridor under Bhopal Metro Phase I receives RDSO certification

The 7.5 km priority corridor (Subhash Nagar – AIIMS) under the Bhopal Metro Rail Phase I has received certification from the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO). The stretch is likely to commence operations in October 2025.

Additionally, Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited has conducted inspections on the AIIMS-DRM office stretch recently, which also included the Subhash Nagar depot.

The Bhopal Metro project involves the development of a metro rail transit system in Madhya Pradesh comprising two corridors of a total length of 27.87 km at an estimated cost of Rs 69.4 billion.
