Indian Railways (IR) is planning to establish an integrated coaching depot (ICD) at Ranavav in Porbandar, Gujarat, under the Bhavnagar railway division of the Western Railway (WR), with an estimated investment of Rs 1.35 billion. The facility will be used for the maintenance of Vande Bharat and Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches.
Moreover, it is expected to be equipped with two 650 m long pit lines with covered sheds, a 222mx50m shed with a sick line for coach repairs, a 200 square m (sqm) administrative building with electrical and lighting facilities, among other infrastructure.
