The centre has inaugurated the RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra stretch (yellow line) under Bangalore Metro Phase II project on August 10, 2025. The project spanning around 19 km, comprising 16 stations was built at a cost of Rs 71.6 billion. With this development, the city’s operational metro network has been expanded to more than 96 km.
Besides, the foundation stone has been laid for Bangalore Metro Phase III project on the same day. It will be undertaken at a cost of Rs 156.1 billion, spanning over 44 km with 31 elevated stations.
