South Eastern Railway sanctions Rs 3.24 billion for Kavach installation across four divisions

South Eastern Railway (SER) has sanctioned Rs 3.24 billion for the installation of Kavach across its Kharagpur, Adra, Ranchi and Chakra­dharpur railway divisions. As part of SER’s Kavach balance works, the system will be installed over 525 route km and on 136 locomotives. With this, 100 per cent Kavach coverage will be achieved across the zone, leading to enhanced safety of train services.
