APSEZ inaugurates world’s first steel slag road within Hazira Port

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZL) has recently inaugurated a 1.1 km roadway made from processed steel slag aggregates within Hazira port, Gujarat, linking the multi‑purpose berth (MPB‑1) to the coal yard. This marks the world’s first steel slag road constructed within a port facility. Developed during Phase II of the bulk and general cargo terminal expansion, the project is a collaboration between APSEZL, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI), and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
