IndiGo has commenced the construction of a new major maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on August 5, 2025.
The facility would be spread across 31 acres of land allocated by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in May 2025. The facility will feature up to 12 bays for both narrow and wide-body aircraft, and is expected to be operational by 2028. This project marks a strategic step in IndiGo’s aim to become a global aviation player by 2030.
