VA Tech WABAG has won a contract worth Rs 3.8 billion from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board for the construction of advanced wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) in Bengaluru under the Karnataka Water Security and Disaster Resilience Programme.
The project will be located at four sites in Bommanahalli. The scope of work includes engineering, construction and commissioning of advanced WWTPs which will be equipped with tertiary treatment facilities, solar sludge drying bags, biogas generation, intermediate pumping stations and related works including operations and maintenance for a period of 10 years on a design, build and operate basis. The project is expected to be completed in 30 months.
