Indian Railways (IR) has successfully tested India’s first hydrogen powered railway coach (driving power car) at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai. IR is currently developing a hydrogen train with a capacity of 1,200 horsepower (hp).
Reportedly, the project is in its final stages, with testing of various equipment currently underway.
