Kushinagar International Airport receives licence for all-weather operations

The Kushinagar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh has converted its licence to the 4C all-weather operations instrument flight rule (IFR) (non-precision approach runway) from the earlier 4C visual flight rule (VFR) for day time operations under the public use category.

The move would now enable aircraft to operate to and from the airport during poor visibility and adverse weather conditions. In addition to enhancing safety, connectivity and tourism are also expected to witness a boost.
