Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has received the independent safety assessment (ISA) certification for the RV Road – Bommasandra stretch under the Bengaluru Metro Rail Phase II Project. The certificate is a prerequisite for the inspections likely to be conducted by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) soon.
Besides, the stretch is likely to be inaugurated by the union government in August 2025.
The project involves construction of four extensions and two new lines covering a length of 72.09 km (13.79 km underground and 58.3 km elevated), in Karnataka at an investment of Rs 406.14 billion.
