Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority witnesses 15.52 per cent increase in container handling during April-June FY 2025-26

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) handled 1,950,188 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of container traffic during April-June period of FY 2025-26. This marks an increase of 15.52 per cent compared to the corresponding period of FY 2024-25.

Overall, the port handled 24.2 million tonnes of total cargo during April-June period of FY 2025-26, an increase of 10 per cent compared to the corresponding period of FY 2024-25.

Presently, JNPA operates five container terminals and has a shallow water berth for general cargo. A liquid cargo terminal is managed by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited consortium, and the additional liquid cargo terminal developed by JNPA will be operated by JSW JNPA Liquid Terminal.
