The Union Government laid the foundation stone for station redevelopment works worth Rs 33 million at Karpoorigram railway station, under the Samastipur division in Bihar, on July 7, 2025. This includes the upgradation of the station building, waiting rooms, drinking water facilities, ramps for differently-abled persons, and several other passenger amenities.
Additionally, the groundbreaking ceremony for an underground railway subway, to be constructed at the level crossing (LC) gate no. 59 ‘C’ between Karpoorigram and Khudiram Bose Pusa stations with an overall investment of Rs 140 million, was also held. The project is expected to alleviate traffic congestion, improve the seamless movement of trains, and enhance overall safety.
