Karnataka state cabinet approves additional Rs 19 billion for Yettinahole Drinking Water Supply Project

The Karnataka State Cabinet has approved additional funds worth Rs 19 billion for the Yettinahole Drinking Water Supply Project. The project is being executed to provide drinking water supply to the arid zones of Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Hassan, Ramanagar and Bangalore rural districts.

The project will also involve filling of lakes to raise the groundwater tables in the area. It is being implemented at a cumulative cost of around Rs 233 billion.
