West Bengal government issues NoC for Kidderpore station under the Kolkata Metro Expansion Project

The government of West Bengal has issued the no-objection certificate (NOC) for the use of Alipore Bodyguard Lines for the construction of Kidderpore station under the Kolkata Metro Expansion Project.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) will be handed over 837 square metres of land for the same.

The project involves the expansion of the existing metro rail network in Kolkata, West Bengal by 88.55 km with an investment of Rs 193.94 billion. The expansion plan includes Joka to BBD Bagh-Diamond Park (18.72 km), Noapara to Barasat via Airport (Bimanbandar) (18.13 km), Airport to Kavi Subhas (New Garia) via Rajarhat (32 km), Baranagar to Barrackpore and Dakshineswar (14.5 km), and Dum Dum to Baranagar (5.2 km).
