In a significant operational achievement for the current fiscal year 2025-26, V.O. Chidambaranar Port has surpassed the 10 million tonnes mark in total cargo handled. The overall cargo handled increased by 1.55 per cent compared to FY 2024-25.
Besides, container traffic expanded by 5.24 per cent year-over-year, reinforcing the port’s role as a key container hub in South India.
