The construction work for the Kazipet rail manufacturing unit in Telangana is likely to be completed by January 2026. The facility will produce new generation mainline electric multiple unit (MEMU) trains with 16-20 coaches, and production is expected to commence by May 2026.
Additionally, the construction cost of the facility has been revised to Rs 7.16 billion.
