The Union Government approved the corridors 2A (Vanaz-Chandini Chowk) and 2B (Ramwadi-Wagholi) under the Pune Metro projects on June 25, 2025.
Corridor 2A spans 1.12 km and has two stations in total whereas corridor 2B spans 11.63 km with 11 stations in total. The projects entail an investment of Rs 36.26 billion and will be equally borne by the state government, central government and external funding agencies.
The project aims at connecting key areas like Bavdhan, Kothrud, Kharadi, and Wagholi and the work on the same is likely to commence by December 2025.
