South Western Railway (SWR) has completed survey works for the Hassan-Mangaluru Rail Line Doubling Project. Besides, the detailed project report (DPR) for the same is being prepared. The cost of the project is being estimated at Rs 50 billion.
The project involves doubling of an existing 247 km line from Hassan to Mangaluru in Karnataka.
