The Thane District Administration has acquired 174 hectares (ha) of land at Mogharpada for construction of a car depot under the Mumbai Metro Phase II Line 4 project (Wadala-Ghatkopar-Teen Haat Naka (Thane)-Kasarwadavli).
Line 4 of Mumbai Metro involves development of a 32 km long metro network to connect Wadala-Ghatkopar-Teen Haat Naka (Thane)-Kasarwadavli in Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs 145.49 billion.
