The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is launching a FASTag-based annual pass, which will be available for Rs 3,000 starting on August 15, 2025, as a revolutionary move towards hassle-free highway travel. Designed specifically for non-commercial private vehicles, including cars, jeeps, and vans, this pass is valid for a year from the date of activation or up to 200 travels, whichever comes first.
Travel will be easy and affordable with the annual pass. Soon, the Rajmarg Yatra App and the National Highway Authority of India’s (NHAI) official websites will both include a special link for activation and renewal.
This approach streamlines toll payments into a single, reasonably priced transaction and resolves long-standing issues with toll plazas situated within a 60 km range. The annual pass seeks to provide millions of private car owners with a quicker and more seamless travel experience by cutting down on wait times, alleviating traffic, and minimising conflicts at toll plazas.
