The tertiary sewerage treatment plant (TSTP) under the Indirapuram-Sahibabad Water Pipeline Project in Uttar Pradesh is ready to supply treated water. Under this project, a 63 km-long pipeline has been laid from the plant in Indirapuram to Sahibabad. Moreover, an overhead tank with a storage capacity of 2,800 kilolitres has been constructed in Indirapuram, while an underground water tank with a 40,000 kilolitres storage capacity has been constructed in the Sahibabad area, to store and supply treated water to industries. The project involved supplying water from Indirapuram STP to around 500 industrial units located in the Sahibabad industrial area at an estimated cost of
Rs 3.2 billion.
