Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation sanctions major sewerage network extension project in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

The Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation has sanctioned a major sewerage network extension project worth Rs 1.24 billion in the city in Kerala. The scope of work includes the laying of a 42.7-km long sewerage pipeline network, covering regions such as Muttathara, Beemapally and Beemapally East. A sum of Rs 150 million has been sanctioned for setting up a tertiary treatment plant, while Rs 360 million has been sanctioned for establishing an omni-processor, to treat and convert the sludge from STPs into useful energy
