Telangana government lays foundation stone for implementation of UGDS in Madhira, Khammam, Tamil Nadu

The Telangana government has laid the foundation stone for the implementation of the Underground Drainage Scheme (UGDS) in Madhira town of Khammam district, Telangana, on May 4, 2025. The scope of work includes a pipeline length of around 99 km and four STPs connecting around 6,638 houses in the Madhira municipal area. The project is expected to enhance sewerage management and hygiene standards of the town at an estimated cost of Rs 1.28 billion.
