South Central Railway (SCR) achieved a freight loading of 12.83 million tonnes (mt) in May 2025, an increase of three per cent over the last year. Commodity-wise, it achieved loading of 6.47 mt from coal, 3.31 mt from cement, 0.73 mt from iron ore, and 2.32 mt from raw materials for steel plants, food grains, fertilizers, containers and other goods.
Additionally, it registered a cumulative freight loading of 25.19 mt for the financial year (FY) 2025-26 (till May 2025).
