Eight U-girders installed at Kapurbawdi station under Mumbai Metro Phase II Line 4 project

A total of eight U-girders have been successfully installed at the Kapurbawdi station under the Mumbai Metro Phase II Line 4 (Wadala-Ghatkopar-Teen Haat Naka (Thane)-Kasarwadavli) project.

These U-girders, each weighing about 97.92 metric tonnes spanning 18 metres were installed as a pre-requisite for the trial runs, which is likely to start by the end of 2025.

The Line 4 of Mumbai metro involves development of a 32 km long metro network to connect Wadala-Ghatkopar-Teen Haat Naka (Thane)-Kasarwadavli in Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs 145.49 billion.
