SMC Infrastructures Private Limited has won a contract worth Rs 1,613.96 million for implementation of the Nagpur (South -B) Water Supply Augmentation Scheme in Maharashtra. Bids for the same were invited by the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) in October 2024.
The scope of project includes construction of transmission mains, feeder main, elevated service reservoirs, 74 km long distribution system, retrofitting of pumping machinery and water treatment plant (WTP), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) automation and allied infrastructure with operation and maintenance (O&M) for five years.
The work is likely to be completed in 18 months.
