East Coast Railway (ECoR) achieved the breakthrough of a 1.77 km long T-2 tunnel under the Khurda Road-Bolangir New Line Project in Odisha.
With this, the breakthrough of all the seven tunnels of the 75 km long section between Daspalla and Purunakatak has been completed.
The project involves construction of 289 km long broad gauge railway line from Khurda Road to Bolangir under the Khurda division of ECoR, aiming to connect Western Odisha with Eastern Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs 37.91 billion.
