The union government inaugurated the 6km priority corridor (Gandhi Nagar-Super Corridor-3) under the Indore Metro Rail Phase I project on May 31, 2025.
The stretch entails an investment of Rs 15.2 billion and covers five stations namely, Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Terminal, Maharani Lakshmi Bai, Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi, Rani Durgavati and Veerangana Jhalkari Bai.
The project involves development of a metro rail transit system comprising a ring line of length 31.55 km at an estimated cost of Rs 75 billion.
