The Union Government inaugurated the Vande Bharat Express train service on the Veraval-Ahmedabad route in Gujarat on May 26, 2025. Additionally, an express train service between Valsad and Dahod stations was also flagged off.
The government further announced that Gujarat has achieved 100 per cent electrification of its railway network.
