The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has approved the Agra Sewage Management Project during the 63rd Executive Committee Meeting. The scope of work involves construction of 40 interception and diversion (I&D) structures, along with 21.2 km of I&D sewer lines.
It also includes installation of eight modern pumping stations, and placing of effective trash screens in five major drains to protect water sources from pollution. It will be implemented on design, build, operate, transfer (DBOT) basis under public-private partnership mode at an estimated cost of Rs 1.26 billion.
