V.O. Chidambaranar Port’s direct port entry (DPE) facility handled 2,242 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of export containers between April 11, 2025 and May 19, 2025, signalling strong trade support.
The recently commissioned facility provides expedited processing in only 30 minutes per container. It offers competitive tariffs of Rs 135 for 20-foot containers and Rs 162 for larger units of containers.
