The Government of Rajasthan has approved the detailed project report (DPR) for the Jaipur Metro Rail Phase II project on May 21, 2025. Now, the DPR has been sent to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for approval.
The construction work on the project is likely to commence before October 2025. Besides, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) are likely to provide funding for the project.
The project involves development of Phase II of metro network in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It spans 42.8 km and entails investment of Rs 122.60 billion. The corridor runs from Todi Mod to Prahaladpura and has 36 stations in total (34 elevated and 2 underground).
