Public Investment Board approves Lucknow Metro Rail Project (East-West Corridor)

Public Investment Board (PIB) has approved the Lucknow Metro Rail Project (East-West Corridor). The project now awaits the approval from the union government.

The project is likely to span 11.16 km (4.29 km elevated and 6.88 km underground) and will entail investment of Rs 58.01 billion. There are 12 stations planned for the project.

The stations are planned at Charbagh, Gautam Buddha Marg, Aminabad, Pandeyganj, City Railway Station, Medical Chauraha, Chowk (all underground), Thakurganj, Balaganj, Sarfarazganj, Moosabagh and Vasant Kunj (all elevated).
