Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has placed the first pier cap at Agra Cantonment station for the Agra Cantt-Kalindi Vihar corridor under the Agra Metro Rail Phase I project. This corridor is likely to be completed by mid-2026.
Additionally, corridor I (Sikandra-Taj Mahal East Gate) is likely to be fully operational by December 2025.
The Agra Metro project involves development of 30 km long metro rail system in the city at an investment of Rs 83.79 billion.
