Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) achieved the unloading of 1,245 freight rakes in April 2025. State-wise, 674 rakes were unloaded in Assam, 231 in West Bengal, 183 in Bihar, 117 in Tripura, 16 in Nagaland, eight in Arunachal Pradesh, eight in Manipur, six in Mizoram, and two in Meghalaya.
Additionally, during the fiscal year (FY) 2024-25, NFR unloaded a total of 13,091 freight rakes. The commodities carried by NFR include foodgrains, fertilisers, sugar, salt, cement, and coal, among others.
