The new air traffic control (ATC) tower cum technical block cum fire station was inaugurated at the Kolhapur Airport in Maharashtra on May 15, 2025.
The inaugural flight operated by Star Air between Kolhapur and Nagpur was also flagged off.
The move is expected to enhance air safety, strengthen emergency services, and also enhance regional connectivity in the state.
