Maharashtra government commences trial runs on Dahisar (East)-Kashigaon stretch under Mumbai Metro Phase III Line 9 project

The government of Maharashtra commenced trial runs on the 4.4 km Dahisar (East)-Kashigaon stretch under the Mumbai Metro Phase III Line 9 project on May 14, 2025. The stations coming under this stretch are Dahisar (East), Pandurangwadi, Miragaon, and Kashigaon.

Besides, commercial operations on this stretch are likely to commence by December 2025 after receiving clearance from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety.

The Line 9 of the Mumbai Metro project involves development of a 13.58 km metro corridor connecting Dahisar to Mira Road and Bhayander and Andheri (East)-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs 66.07 billion.
