The Government of Maharashtra inaugurated the Gokhale Bridge Project Phase II on May 11, 2025. Phase I of the same was opened last year in February 2024.
The project involves construction of a 90 m long railway portion of the Gopal Krishna Gokhale bridge connecting C.D. Barfiwala road to N.S. Phadke road in Maharashtra.
Besides, two more bridges are likely to be opened for public use soon, these include the Vikhroli East-West Connector RoB Project scheduled for May 31, 2025 and the Carnac Bridge in South Mumbai scheduled for June 10, 2025.
