East Central Railway’s (ECR’s) Dhanbad division recorded the highest freight loading across Indian Railways (IR) in April 2025, achieving 16.55 million tonnes (mt). It was followed by the Bilaspur division of the South East Central Railway (SECR) zone (15.44 mt), the Khurda division of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) zone (13.20 mt), and the Chakradharpur division of the South Eastern Railway (SER) zone (12.30 mt).
Besides, the revenue generated from freight loading stood at Rs 21.34 billion for the Dhanbad division, Rs 19.92 billion for the Bilaspur division, Rs 11.33 billion for the Khurda division, and Rs 10.32 billion for the Chakradharpur division.
