Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, Mumbai handled 8.44 million tonnes of cargo in April 2025, an increase of 17.81 per cent as compared to the traffic in April 2024. The port also reported handling 667,922 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of container traffic in April 2025, an increase of 21.28 per cent as compared to throughput in April 2024.
Also, in April 2025, JNPA handled 589 container rakes, an increase of 21.19 per cent as compared to 486 container rakes in April 2024.
The Bharat Mumbai Container Terminal handled 229,848 TEUs of container in April 2025, highest ever handled by any terminal at JNPA.
