The government of Tamil Nadu has granted in-principle approval for the Koyambedu – Pattabiram Metro Rail project.
The extension is likely to span 21.76 km with 19 elevated stations entailing an investment of Rs 99.28 billion. The corridor is likely to connect locations like Padi Pudhu Nagar, Mogappair, Ambattur, Thirumullaivoyal and Avadi, before culminating at Pattabiram (ORR).
The project involves extension of Corridor V under the Chennai Metro Phase II project from Koyambdu to Pattabiram in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
