National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has commenced trial runs on the 17 km Shatabdi Nagar – Modipuram stretch under the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project.
Further, NCRTC will evaluate the train’s integration with tracks, platform screen doors and overhead power supply during the trial runs.
The project involves development of 82.15 km RRTS connecting the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh with an investment of Rs 302.74 billion.
